The Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation is a program funded
by a National Science Foundation Grant. It’s purpose is to increase the
number of minority students who successfully complete baccalaureate
degrees in  science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields.

The long-term goal of the program is to increase minority presence in
Ph.D. STE M programs and then increase the number of minorities in STEM faculty positions.
