Who We Are:
The Department of Psychology at Marshall University operates a training clinic in Barboursville, West Virginia, providing low-cost psychological assessment, psychotherapy and educational services to the community. The clinic provides a community setting in which clinical skills are practiced by graduate students who are seeking advanced degrees in psychology. As a training facility for its graduate students, who are supervised by licensed faculty, the Marshall University Community Psychology Clinic provides mental health and testing services for individuals in the community who need such services but lack sufficient resources to pursue other professional assistance.

What We Do:
The clinic provides psychological assessment services, psychotherapy, and therapy for families, children and adolescents, adults, and people of all ages with special needs. Graduate-level college students provide these services under the direct supervision of fully licensed psychologists. We reserve the right to refer any person who seeks our services to another specialized health care provider if necessary.

Services provided by the Marshall University Community Psychology Clinic is available primarily during regularly scheduled academic semester.

What We Charge:
Our charges are based upon the client’s ability to pay, but do not exceed $40 per hour. We do not bill or participate with insurance or Medicaid.

How to Make an Appointment:
Call our office during the hours listed to make arrangements for an appointment. Our staff can meet with you during normal business hours. If you call for an appointment and the clinic is closed you can leave a message on the voicemail and we will return your call promptly.

We are located in the Starlight Community Mental Health Building  located off Route 60 in Barboursville near the I-64  29^th Street interchange. Cherry Lawn Road is situated between the McDonalds and the Moses Car dealership.
