Dr. John Warner Outstanding Teacher Awardees

In appreciation for Dr. John Warner’s Service to the West Virginia Academy of Science, the Outstanding Teacher Award was named in his honor in 2007.  The following outstanding West Virginia teachers have received the Dr. John Warner Outstanding Teacher Award from the Academy for their contributions to science education and mentorship of future scientists.

2016

Thomas Schreiber, a science teacher at Cabell Midland High School, has mentored numerous students in summer research experiences in collaboration with Marshall University and the American Chemical Society’s SEED Program. 

2015

President Jason Best presents the Dr. John Warner Outstanding Teacher Award to secondary education biology teacher Kathleen Loughman of John Marshall High School.
