Who Reports to the WVASDR?

Reporting to the WVASDR is mandatory for neurologists, pediatricians, family physicians, psychiatrists, clinical psychologists.  School psychologists are not required to 
report at this time.

All reporting entities have one month, from the day of diagnosis, to report an Autism Spectrum disorder to the WVASDR. Please, mail your completed reporting form to the following address:

What are the eligibility requirements for the WVASDR?

Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASDs), for purposes of this Registry, include: Autistic Disorder, Pervasive Developmental Disorder-Not Otherwise Specified (PDD-NOS), Asperger’s Disorder, Rett’s Disorder, and Childhood Disintegrative Disorder (CDD). The primary and confirmed diagnosis must be one of these five disorders, as per the Diagnostic & Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fourth Edition, Text Revision (DSM-IV-TR). The person with the disorder must also live in the state of West Virginia to be considered for the WVASDR.
