Marshall Kicks Off United Way Campaign
11/5/2009 - One of the most popular special activities during Marshall University’s annual United Way campaign is the opportunity for university employees to wear jeans to work. For the third consecutive year, “I’m wearing Jeans for United Way” days have been approved by Marshall President Stephen J. Kopp for the campaign.
This year’s campaign runs through Dec. 31. Two special weeks of activities are planned with a kickoff on the Memorial Student Center plaza , Monday, Nov. 9.
Participants will be “permitted” to wear jeans to work on selected days throughout the campaign, depending on which days they choose and how much they donate to the campaign. Jeans days are every Tuesday and Thursday from Nov. 3 – the beginning of Sneak Peek Week for the campaign – through Dec. 17, except for Thanksgiving week.
