There are a wide range of student sponsored clubs and organizations covering everything from political groups and outdoor activities to fraternities and sororities. Religion

Several religious oriented organizations and locations are available both on and off the Marshall University campus. On campus sites/clubs include The Baptist Student Union, Campus Crusade for Christ, and The Navigators - Students for Christ. There are also many churches within walking distance of campus. A listing of several of these churches is available from the Community web site.

Athletics

Marshall University is home to an award winning athletics department including two consecutive Mid-American Conference Football Championships. Performing Arts Events

The Marshall University Theatre and Marshall Artists Series regularly sponsor plays and concerts throughout the school year. Past events have included Bill Cosby and Willie Nelson. Tickets are free to full-time students for most events. For more information call (304) 696-6656.

Fitness

Among the on campus facilities are a indoor swimming pool, 6 tennis courts, 9 racquetball courts an outdoor track and a professionally staffed fitness center. The fitness center located on the east side of level D in Gullickson Hall offers a variety of free weight and cardiovascular equipment. Students are eligible to use the facility with a valid MU ID card, proper workout attire and a towel. Also Recreational Sports sponsors activities such as racquetball and aerobics classes.
