Campus Life
Living on Campus
http://www.marshall.edu/residence-services/
If you are a first-year student or sophomore under the age of 21 and live outside the
50 mile commuting distance from Marshall University, you are required to live on
campus. Living on campus means that not only will you be enjoying the benefits that
come with being a part of residential living, but that you'll be staying in one of
Marshall’s eight residence hall communities, and you can request a specific hall and
room type when applying for housing accommodations. The prices and features of each
residence hall community vary so you'll want to do some research before making your
decision. Additional information about living on campus is available on the Residence
Services website or you can call us at (800)438-5391 or
(304)696-6766.
Meal Plans

Marshall University offers several meal plan options that can be used in the dining
halls at Twin Towers, Harless, and the Student Center. All meals are provided by
Sodexo Food Services and can be purchased through the I.D. Office located in the
Memorial Student Center BW31 and are available to both commuters and campus residents.
Safety

The safety of our students is one of the main goals of the University.
Several emergency phones are located around the campus and are identified
by the blue light on top of the phone box. Dialing 4357 (HELP) from any
University phone or these emergency phones will provide direct contact
with the MUPD police dispatcher 24 hours a day. MUPD provides 24-hour-a-day
patrol protection to the campus, adjacent University-owned facilities
and parking lots.
