In order to perfect their show, each Marching Thunder member spent over
200 hours in full-band
rehearsal before their first performance in September.
But the hard work did not end there. The Marching Thunder continued to rehearse
10 hours each week throughout the season to perfect the 60 marching maneuvers
contained in their production show. The highlight of the season certainly
had to be playing for a sold-out stadium at the Championship game and cheering
the Herd on to their perfect season.

The Marching Thunder certainly had a busy season this year. They kicked
things off by performing for President Clinton when he kicked off his campaign
tour. The Marching Thunder then faced the challenge of preparing for the
first home game against Howard University. Because Howard's band is a perennial
crowd-pleaser, the Marching Thunder decided to fight fire with fire by bringing
in the Walton Gospel Singers from Jacksonville, Florida. Their spirited
performance of "Joyful, Joyful" was one that will not be forgotten.
