Marshall University is facing our rapidly changing world with vision. "The Marshall Plan for Quality Undergraduate Education" and the "Virtual University 2000 Project" will prepare graduates for the 21st Century. Driven by science and technology, these initiatives will address the demands of our changing society.
Marshall University is
West Virginia's "interactive" university. Technology is pervasive
in classrooms and residence halls. Courses are becoming multi-media
experiences. Students register and check their
grades through a computerized system. The $22 million library and the $31
million Medical Center will be state-of-the-art. Seventy two academic majors
in nine colleges and schools prepare students for the "real world"
through a structured curriculum which is synthesized and demonstrated in
the
"capstone experience."
