Delta Zeta Sorority is about

Sisterhood all year long!

You aren't a sorority without sisterhood and sisterhood is the focus in Delta Zeta all year long! At the beginning of the fall semester, Rush Chairman Jaime Maddy decided to make certain all her DeeZee sisters looked their very best by hosting a Mary Kay party! Those beauty tips sure came in handy when DZ celebrated our national Founder's Day with a formal at Chestnut Point. In December, we got together for a Christmas brunch where big and little sisters exchanged gifts and decorated the chapter house for the holiday season. We held a dinner in honor of our many outstanding alumnae in February.

With the new changes in rush, DZ is taking advantage of the continuous open bidding process. We invite rushees to everything from a Mexican Fiesta to going ice skating and bowling. Beyond sorority rush, DZ made certain to help with fraternity rush as well. We went bowling with Pi Kappa Phi and played Pictionary with Alpha Sigma Phi.

After the craziness of rush week is over, DZ stays very active in other Greek activities. In September, Alpha Tau Omega invited us to play co-ed intramural basketball and in October entered the Homecoming float competition together. And of course, there's always the TGIFs with the brothers of Pi Kappa Alpha, Tau Kappa Epsilon and Lambda Chi Alpha. We celebrated Halloween with a party with Sigma Phi Epsilon. Every sorority attended a Panhellenic party hosted by DZ to watch a made-for-TV special called Dying to Belong.

Our past philanthropy chair, Jaime Maddy, and our spring philanthropy chair, Dawn Whitehair, have planned lots of great community service projects for DZ during the past year. In October we raised donations by having a Pie in the Face event. In November, we helped South Point PTA with concessions at high school football games. During Christmas we tried to make the holiday a little more special for a child by adopting a little girl and buying gifts. This semester we are eagerly awaiting to hear which highway will be designated to DZ through the Adopt-A-Highway program.
