The chapter is composed of athletes from different sports. During the Homecoming weekend, three of the bruz aided in an exciting defeat over the Citadel, while many "old heads" came back in to support and participate in the activities for the weekend. Nu Beta was represented in the All-Greek Step Show by its internationally known step team. The team won the Homecoming show and capped off the 25th anniversary with an Afterparty at the EconoLodge on Route 60.

The brothers of Nu Beta also participated in the '97 Greek Week activities. Greek Week is a fun week of exhausting competitions which has been traditionally participated in only by the historically White fraternities and sororities. Only having five active members and a handful of Pearls for support, the Bruz met up against some tough opponents! The Omega's took first place overall in the banner competition; first place in ping pong and basketball; and second place overall in the "Greek Sing." Most of the fraternities had no less than twenty members, but after all of the scoring and judging was done, Nu Beta left with four trophies. Perseverance was again met and the bruz saw it through!!
