Pi Kappa Alpha was founded on Sunday evening, March 1, 1868 at the University
of Virginia, beginning a great tradition of excellence.
The Pi Kappa
Alpha Fraternity strives to develop scholarship, leadership, community involvement,
high ethical values, and most of all, brotherhood among its members.
Pi Kappa Alpha includes 212 chapters and colonies throughout the United States and Canada. Pi Kappa Alpha has been ranked #1 or #2 in an independent survey for the past twelve years among all the other chapters in the U.S., Pi Kappa Alpha has also pledged and initiated more members in 1995-96 and 1996-97 than any other fraternity in the U.S.

The Delta Iota chapter of Marshall University was founded on June 5, 1948, but the Delta Iota chapter is an old chapter with a new beginning. In the fall of 1997 the Delta Iota chapter will begin with a new executive board and a new house.
There are many different awards and accomplishments of this chapter.
A few of them are: Pike football champions ten out of the last twelve years,
including the fall of 1996, 1995-96 Intramural champions in 1995-96 and
consecutive winners from 1988-94, eight consecutive community service
awards, and currently holds the second highest G.P.A. on campus among fraternities.
Among all of theses awards and accomplishments, nothing can express the
feeling of BROTHERHOOD.
