Send your mind where your body dare not go...

Reality and illusion will merge on Tuesday, April 14 with Illusion 'N' Fusion Motion Theatre.

This 12-passenger, open-cockpit, 3-D motion theater combines advanced motion control systems and the advanced imaging technology of Virtual Reality into an open-cockpit simulator using head-mounted 3-D displays. An experience complete in every detail, right down to the wind blowing in your face! The crowd will roar at the hilarious reactions of participants as they experience one of the most thrilling and spectacular virtual journeys ever created!

Students may participate in the Illusion 'N' Fusion 3-D motion theater from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Memorial Student Center Plaza. This event is free!

Michelle Pratt, Vice President of the Student Activities Programming Board, was one of the volunteers instrumental in bringing this event to campus. "I saw this event showcased at the National Association for Campus Activities Conference in Indianapolis and it was a joy," she said. "I felt that students would really appreciate the experience. This has to be America's most spectacular, interactive, high-tech attraction touring college campuses."

National Crab Racing: Where the surf meets the turf

Not so very long ago, thoroughbred racing crabs were just a dream - now thanks to Jim Morgan, founder and commissioner of the National Crab Racing Association (NCRA), more than 1,000,000 patrons have thrilled to watch trained, motivated racing crabs! These hermit crabs are trained at the Florida Marine Research Center in Sarasota. Only one crab in 10,000 makes it to the professional circuit.

Upwards of 100 people can play simultaneously and have the chance to win prizes! The typical NCRA event features 12 qualifying heats, and then a final run-off, with prizes awarded for Win, Place, and Show. Winners receive certificates, and the top three winners get souvenir photos!
