For students, whether a school has received accreditation can be a major factor for those individuals who select a program of study. Graduating from an accredited program to prospective employers can be as important as what grades a student received.
For students who enter the Education School, which is housed under the College of Education and Human Services, accreditation is nothing which students will have to worry about for a while. The Education School has received accreditation from the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).
The Education School which has been accredited under NCATE since 1954, will remain accredited until the year 2002. | ||||
