Homecoming 1997

Homecoming 1997 was full of fun activities for students. Monday began with free candy and a chance for everyone to meet the Homecoming court candidates. Tuesday, students had the chance to vote for the homecoming court. The night was highlighted with the annual Student Talent Showcase. Students performed music, dance, and comedy and competed for a $250 cash prize. Wednesday the court was announced. Students had the opportunity to jump into cyber-space with the virtual reality machine the Transender. The night was highlighted with comedians from the Black comedy tour performed. Thursday, the local news media came to witness students compete for cash prizes in the Twister contest. Friday, students hopped aboard the Jewel City Stern Wheeler for a murder mystery cruise. Saturday, students participated in the Homecoming parade. A great time was had by all.
