SGA Campaigning & The Debates:

The Signs, The Handshakes and Everything In-Between

Signs for Presidential Candidate

Signs, flyers and standing billboards line the campus every semester to announce the start of Student Government campaign time for Fall and Spring Elections. This is especially an important time when Spring campaign time comes around and Student Government Association Presidential and Vice-Presidential teams rally for student support and votes.

Handing out the proverbial handshakes and election promises are not the only means by which students can decide which candidates are the best.

Campaign debates have become one of the most popular events of the campaign season giving students the opportunity to put names to candidate faces. It also provides students the time to hear campaign promises and plans first hand.

Students, faculty and staff filled the Don Morris room to be one of the select few spectators able to view a lively afternoon of question and answer.
