After a year of arguing and some controversy, the leadership of the Marshall University Student Government Association was handed over to the President Elect Jeff "MacKenzie" Howard, Toronto, Canada, and Vice-President Elect Susan Porter, Branchland.
The Student Government Association chose the evening of April 3, 1998, as the time for the new leadership to take over. Outgoing Student Government President Matthew R. Glover and Vice-President J. J. Spichek reflected with their fellow SGA members, friends, family and other well-wishers on their year at the reigns of the Student Government Association. Before the pair introduced the new winners, they thanked everyone for their hard work and dedication to Student Government and for helping them during their time in office.
The new Student Government President Jeff Howard and Vice-President Susan Porter both took the opportunity to thank all the students who voted for them, all who helped stand behind them during the campaign, and promised to make Marshall a better place for students in the future. | ||||||||
