Their largest hit to date, The Freshman, is a soul-searching journey into relationships, rejections, death, denial, and dealing. The incredible vocal talents of lead singer/songwriter, Brian Vander Ark, lend a desperate urgency to their music.
The members of the band, who hail from East Lansing, Michigan,
consist of Brian Vander Ark (lead vocals, guitar), Donny Brown (Drums, Background
vocals), A.J. Dunning (guitars, background vocals), Doug Corella (keyboards,
percussion), and Brad Vander Ark (bass, background vocals). Their two previous
independent records -- "I've Suffered A Head Injury" and "Pop
Smear" have collectively sold more than 40,000 copies. These albums
had already placed The Verve Pipe on the musical lips of the true alternative
fans of the Huntington area.
People who came out and experienced The Verve Pipe were
given a show that is one of the 
best on the
road today. Their energy and love for their craft made it hard not to love
