- After accepting the disclaimer statement click on BROWSE. Check the "On Subscription" option and click on BROWSE again. You will see a list of online journals that Marshall users may access. Rights have been granted by individual publishers based on the Libraries' print subscriptions. Some links lead to sites which require password authorization. These sites are currently unavailable.

- The EBSCO OnLine Web site allows users to search, view, download, or print full-text articles from a fairly large list of 3900 journals.
Current Status-
Although the EBSCO Online web site is well designed, Marshall clinicians or biomedical researchers will have access to very few full-text journal articles there. Marshall's Libraries (Drinko or HSL) have not bought any electronic rights for journals. The electronic rights for 260 of Marshall's journal subscriptions have been granted free by publishers and can be withdrawn at anytime. Only seventeen of the 260 titles fall within the biomedical or health sciences disciplines.
A second obstacle is the refusal of many publishers to allow EBSCO to load full-text articles on the Online site. Of the 3987 journals indexed at the site only 2652 actually allow loading of full-text. Only six of the sixteen biomedical titles for which Marshall has a subscription are loaded at the EBSCO site.
EBSCO provides URL links to the sites of publishers that are not participating in EBSCO Online. When users arrive at the publisher sites they will find that they must enter user-ids and passwords. Regardless of where the full-text resides, users must be affiliated with an institution that has a subscription or license for the journal.
