"Postcards" give travel tips based on the experiences of ordinary travelers like you and me. There are pictorial tours of exotic places. " Detours are not for everyone. They're for travellers who don't expect too many creature comforts along the way, and who are enchanted by the idea of getting to some of the lost and forgotten places on the planet." North American Destinations are still under construction, but the rest of the planet is well represented.

- is a recognized source for finding fair car prices. For new cars it gives dealer cost. Pricing for used cars is specific to year, model, equipment and mileage. Kelly's Blue Book has prices for cars and trucks before 1987 and gives trade-in prices based on equipment, mileage, zip code, and condition of the vehicle

- is an impressive film review site
that contains, at present, nearly 1,000 reviews. James Berardinelli, the site creator, must not have much time left in his day after he watches all those movies and then writes long thoughtful reviews.
- Dog Breeds
- is a fine resource if you are considering selecting a suitable canine companion. The alphabetical list is huge. About half of the descriptions include a pictorial of the breed. All entries give the size, weight, requirements for having a happy dog, and links to breed specific Web pages.
- Natural History and Art Museums on the Web
- is a comprehensive source that describes and links to Museums throughout the World. From the Los Angeles Musuem of Natural History. This a good site for virtual exhibits, real exhibit schedules, and information about museums.
- National Gallery of Art
- is an outstanding site. It's easy to find information and images about the vast holdings of the museum. You can search by artist, title of work, period and medium, or subject of the work. Plus, learn about the current and future exhibits. There are bibliographies, exhibit histories, ownership histories and maps for each work of art at the site. There are many images, but the majority of the works do not yet have images.
