There\u2019s always something going on at Marshall, but let\u2019s be honest \u2014 sometimes it\u2019s nice to get off campus for a bit. Whether you\u2019re a freshman finding your way or a future member of the Herd, here are five of our go-to off-campus spots:<\/p>\n

  1. Ritter Park<\/strong><\/a>: If you love the outdoors, Ritter Park is a must-visit. It\u2019s the perfect spot for a walk, jog or bike ride, and it\u2019s also home to the award-winning Rose Garden. You\u2019ll even find tennis and pickleball courts if you\u2019re feeling competitive.<\/li>\n
  2. Heritage Farm Museum & Village<\/strong><\/a>: Want to get a feel for the area? Heritage Farm is a hands-on way to experience Appalachian culture with artisan demos, cool exhibits and an outdoor adventure park. You can say hi to the animals, hop on a wagon ride or just explore. It\u2019s a fun mix of history, nature and adventure \u2014 and a great spot to take friends or family when they\u2019re visiting.<\/li>\n
  3. Grindstone Coffeology<\/strong><\/a>: A favorite among students, Grindstone Coffeology has everything you need to refuel or just relax. Grab a maple oat milk latte and a slice of banana bread, and settle into your new off-campus study spot!<\/li>\n
  4. The Market<\/strong><\/a>: Looking for a fun indoor venue? The Market has you covered with local shops, tasty eats and live music.It\u2019s the perfect place to explore the local scene with friends, especially on rainy days!<\/li>\n
  5. Central City<\/strong><\/a>: Ready for a weekend adventure? Central City has it all, including antique shops, art galleries, a caf\u00e9 and a bookstore. Plus, every business is locally owned, so you\u2019re supporting the Huntingdon community while you shop.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
