For more information about pledging Alpha Phi Omega, please come to one of the informational meetings (see calendar).

In order to pledge Alpha Phi Omega, you must have at least a 2.0 GPA and a desire to do service and social activities. The six week pledge process is relatively simple. During your time as a pledge, you must complete at least 25 hours of community service. Fifteen of the hours must be chapter sponsored alongside ten approved outside hours. At least five of these need to be completed with your Big at chapter-sponsored events. You will also be required to attend  at least five chapter meetings, the weekly pledge meetings and two ceremonies. An exam will be administered at the end of the pledge period.

Many fraternities on campus charge exuberant amounts of dues to their members and pledges. Since we do not have a house, we are able to keep our dues and pledge fees much lower that other fraternities. At the beginning of your pledge process, you will have to pay a nonrefundable $40. This includes the national pledge fees as well as paying for materials you will receive during your pledge period. You will also have to pay an additional $60 to cover active membership dues. After your pledging semester has been completed, you will only be required to pay $60 per semester. This price is just a small fraction of the amount that non-professional fraternities and sororities charge their members, but you still have access to many social events that our group does on a local, regional, and national level.

If you have any further questions about the pledge process, feel free to contact us for more information.
