On view in the Charles W. and Norma C. Carroll Gallery<\/a><\/p>\n October 5 – 23, 2020<\/p>\n The public is invited to a virtual reception on Thursday, October 15, at 5:30pm<\/p>\n The result of several months worth of work, Maximum Capacity<\/em> is an exhibition of 11 artists’ work, guided by Sandra Reed and in direct conversation with artist Craig Drennen.\u00a0 When this exhibition was planned, it was supposed to take place in a storefront in Huntington, West Virginia in the Spring of 2020.\u00a0 Due to the COVID-19 virus, this group of artists made an abrupt change of plans.\u00a0 The exhibition was re-conceived as “Minimum Capacity” wherein the artists’ work was condensed into a series of pdf documents and published as a zine. <\/a>\u00a0With the assistance of Craig Drennan, the artists mounted Minumum Capacity<\/em> in a small gallery in Atlanta, Georgia.\u00a0 The exhibition consisted of 18″ x 24″ photocopies of the pages of the zine.\u00a0 A virtual reception was held at the time.\u00a0 The artists decided to hold “Maximum Capacity” as originally planned as soon as they possibly could.<\/p>\n In its current form, this exhibition of Maximum Capacity<\/em> is the realization of a journey begun what feels like much longer than months ago.<\/p>\n Bree Black<\/a><\/p>\n Sophia Celdran<\/a><\/p>\n Peyton Dolin<\/a><\/p>\n Raigan Hagerman<\/a><\/p>\n Zhuning Huang<\/a><\/p>\n Savannah Julian<\/a><\/p>\n Zane Pinson<\/a><\/p>\n Sa-Rai Robinette<\/a><\/p>\nArtists of Maximum Capacity<\/h2>\n
