Advice/Philosophy: I believe that art is an important aspect of all human life, not just the direct experience of artists. Working with ceramic materials has taught me more about patience and resiliency than any other medium. It is a practice that challenges me to push through obstacles and accept failures. I often encourage my students to look at their development in terms of experiences and lessons learned. These skills then become tools which can be used in a variety of life’s situations.
