Carroll Gallery at Marshall\u2019s Visual Arts Center.<!--more--> \u201cFoundations Review: Selected Student Works,\u201d in the Birke Art Gallery on campus will feature faculty-selected works from students in the beginning stages of the art program.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGraphic design, art education, ceramics, photography and painting will be reflected, as presenting students are graduating with these emphases,\u201d said Melissa Yungbluth, gallery director at Marshall. \u201cThe scope of these exhibitions is a great example of the teachings of the School of Art &amp; Design.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The two-part capstone exhibitions are broken into two groups of seniors. The first group\u2019s works\u00a0went up\u00a0Monday and will remain on display in the Visual Arts Center Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. until Friday, Nov. 17, and the second will be up from Monday, Nov.28, until Friday, Dec. 1. Group one includes Ashleigh Adkins, Brianna Jarvis, Cory McAtee and Karl Shaver. Group two includes George Cook, Joel DeAlba, Chad Floyd, John Hicks, Moriah Lockhart and Lara Peavler.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFoundations Review: Selected Student Works,\u201d will be on display at the Birke Art Gallery on Marshall\u2019s Huntington campus beginning with an opening reception at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 9. The reception is free and open to the public.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGuests will see an incredible range of media and ideas: drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, photography, video and more,\u201d said Yungbluth.<\/p>\n<p>The work can be viewed until Friday, Dec. 9, at the Birke, Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Friday from noon to 4 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Admission to both the Carroll Gallery and the Birke Art Gallery is free.
