Conducted by Dr. Phil Vallejo, this select ensemble is open to students of any major from throughout the university by audition and provides the opportunity to perform literature from the traditional and contemporary repertory.\u00a0 Performers in this ensemble are held to high performance expectations and, as a result, are rewarded with an excellent musical experience.<\/p>\n<p>The Wind Symphony performs numerous concerts during the school year, including the Marshall University Festival Band Weekend, which is sponsored by the band program. \u00a0In March, 2025, the Wind Symphony traveled to California to perform as the featured ensemble at the Dr. Lawrence R. Sutherland Wind Festival Gala Concert.
