{"id":65,"date":"2015-12-07T12:04:46","date_gmt":"2015-12-07T17:04:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/banner-dev\/?page_id=65"},"modified":"2021-04-28T09:24:15","modified_gmt":"2021-04-28T14:24:15","slug":"troubleshooting","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/banner\/troubleshooting\/","title":{"rendered":"Troubleshooting"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Banner Problem Reporting<\/h2>\n<p>If you experience a problem with Banner&#8217;s Production, Pre-Production, or Test database, report the problem to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/it\/departments\/it-service-desk\/\">IT Service Desk<\/a> or submit the problem using the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/banner\/banner-problem-report-form\/\">Banner Problem Report Form<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>When contacting the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/it\/departments\/it-service-desk\/\">IT Service Desk<\/a>, you should provide them with the following information:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>your Banner username<\/li>\n<li>description of the problem<\/li>\n<li>any form names (e.g., SPAIDEN) that are involved<\/li>\n<li>any error numbers (e.g., ORA-00942) if available<\/li>\n<li>Help\u2026Display Error<\/li>\n<li>what you were attempting to do that triggered the error<\/li>\n<li>whether or not it is an isolated incident<\/li>\n<li>priority (e.g., critical, can work around, low)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Password Help<\/h2>\n<p>You can change your Banner password on the Banner form, GUAPSWD. \u00a0This form will only allow a person to change the password for the account that is currently logged in. \u00a0Therefore, no one else can log into this form and change your password.<\/p>\n<p>If you lose or forget one of your Banner-related passwords, you will not be able to access the system until you have this password changed by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/it\/departments\/it-service-desk\/\">IT Service Desk<\/a>. \u00a0Contact the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/it\/departments\/it-service-desk\/\">IT Service Desk<\/a>\u00a0by phone or visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/it\/departments\/it-service-desk\/\">IT Service Desk<\/a> to verify your MUID.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Protect your password.<\/strong> \u00a0Read <a href=\"http:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/banner\/\">Password Security<\/a> tips.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Additional Questions?<\/strong> \u00a0Please contact the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/it\/departments\/it-service-desk\/\">IT Service Desk<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Banner Problem Reporting If you experience a problem with Banner&#8217;s Production, Pre-Production, or Test database, report the problem to the IT Service Desk or submit the problem using the Banner Problem Report Form.
