Donning of the Kente Graduation Ceremony

The Marshall University Donning of the Kente Graduation Ceremony is a graduation ceremony for any student who is graduating from Marshall University. The Kente is a royal symbol of prestige and is reserved only for those who have deserved this honor. A handwoven cloth from the Ashanti Nations of West Africa is presented to graduates who have achieved the extraordinary accomplishment of acquiring a higher education degree.

Lineup – 4:00 p.m.
Memorial Student Center – Lobby
Please make sure you wear your graduation regalia (cap, gown, hood, etc.)

Family and friends are welcome to attend; no reservation is required/needed.
