Making a good impression requires preparation and good communication skills. The goal of the formal interview is to assemble a formal, personal presentation of your knowledge, skills, and abilities.<\/p>\n<p>The Office of Career Education offers in-person mock interviews, as well as Big Interview. Big Interview allows students and alumni to record and play back practice interviews via a webcam. You do not need to register for an account.<\/li>\n<li>Use the Big Interview dashboard to practice for your interview and receive interview tips.<\/li>\n<li>You can choose either the \u201cFast Track\u201d or \u201cMastery Track\u201d modules.<\/li>\n<li>Before you complete your assignment, you can click on the \u201cPractice\u201d tab at the top. This allows you to answer sample interview questions while becoming comfortable with the software.<\/li>\n<li>When you are ready to begin, click on the \u201cAssignments\u201d tab at the top of the page.<\/li>\n<li>Enter the assignment code provided by your instructor. (This will be provided to your professor by Career Education.)<\/li>\n<li>Your assignment and interview questions will begin.<\/li>\n<li>For each question, you can read the question or have the person read it to you.<\/li>\n<li>When ready, hit the \u201cRecord\u201d button. You will then receive a 3-2-1 countdown to begin your answer.<\/li>\n<li>After you have completely answered the question, stop recording. Then, you can hit \u201cPlay\u201d to review your response.\u00a0 If you approve, click \u201cSave\u201d and move on to the next question.\u00a0 If you do not like your answer, simply \u201cRecord\u201d again, play it back, and \u201cSave\u201d when you are satisfied with your response.\u00a0\u00a0<b>NOTE<\/b>: You must click \u201cSave\u201d after each question, or you will lose your previous answers!<\/li>\n<li>Once you have answered and\u00a0<b>SAVED\u00a0<\/b>all of your answers, click on \u201cFinish Assignment.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>On the answers page, click on the answers you want to submit (in most cases, it will be all of them).<\/li>\n<li>Click \u201cSubmit Assignment\u201d, and you are done!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong><span style=\"line-height: 1.5\">To schedule a mock interview, call 304-696-2370 or <\/span><a style=\"line-height: 1.5\" href=\"mailto:career@marshall.edu\">email <\/a><span style=\"line-height: 1.5\">Career Education.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Practice makes perfect.
