Transformational Collaborative Outcomes Management (TCOM)
Transformational Collaborative Outcomes Management (TCOM) is a framework for managing complex systems. Within this framework, there is a philosophy, a strategy, and tools designed to facilitate an effective and integrated approach to addressing the needs of children and families.
These tools include the West Virginia Family Advocacy and Support Tool (FAST) and the West Virginia Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) assessment. Marshall University was awarded a grant in 2019 through DHHR to provide training and technical assistance in West Virginia. Other TCOM related activities include, the development of algorithms for children’s levels of mental health care and an automated system for WV so CANS information can be shared across providers.
