Courtney enjoys learning about Autism Spectrum Disorder throughout childhood, adolescence, and into early adulthood. As a Graduate Assistant at The College Program for Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, I get to witness and aid in the transition from high school to college. This opportunity is unlike any other and is an excellent supplement to the knowledge I am gaining through the Psy.D. Program at Marshall University.

Maddisen is particularly interested in gender differences in ASD, and hopes to ensure adults with autism are given the same educational, professional, and personal opportunities as their peers.

He has lived about six years in Washington DC before joining Marshall University. This is my sixth year in West Virginia. So, Both Washington D.C and West Virginia have been my home after arriving in the U.S.
It has always been a passion of mine to help others and give back to my community. I want students with ASD to have a fair chance in life as the next student. I appreciate the college program for welcoming me to serve as a mentor throughout my graduate studies. I have had the chance to learn and be exposed to what Autism really is. I would like to take all the lessons I have learned and educate individuals I come across in the IT field.
Birhane is fluent in Amharic and Tgrigna! He is also conversational in Chinese and Spanish.
