Are you in 8th, 9th, 10th, or 11th grade and interested in a career in the medical or educational fields?\u00a0 Do you enjoy science and helping make life better for others?\u00a0 Join speech-language pathologists at Marshall University in learning how communication and science collide.\u00a0 Students will be introduced to different aspects of speech-language pathology in each day camp.\u00a0 Computer programming, food science, ultrasound, anatomy, physiology, and electrical activity are just a few concepts to be introduced. \u00a0Lunch will be provided.\u00a0 This camp is free<\/strong> for students, thanks to a generous grant provided by the AEP Foundation.<\/p>\n

Registration is accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.\u00a0 Enrollment is limited to 30 participants.<\/p>\n

\n\"\"<\/a> Students will learn to create alternative communication modalities and to program electronic devices used for communication.\u00a0 Students will be able to utilize eye gaze technology to communicate.\u00a0 Register here.<\/a><\/p>\n

What is the time of the camp?<\/strong>
\nStudents should arrive by 9:00AM and parents should pick up students at 3:00pm<\/p>\n

Where is the camp located?<\/strong>
\nThe camp is located in Smith Hall 143 directly on Marshall University\u2019s campus.\u00a0 Smith Hall is on the corner of 3rd<\/sup>\u00a0avenue and 16th<\/sup>\u00a0street in Huntington, WV.<\/p>\n

Who will be leading the camp?<\/strong>
\nThe camp will be facilitated each day by staff and graduate students of the Department of Communication Disorders.<\/p>\n

Does the camp cost anything?\u00a0<\/strong>
\nNo the camp is free thanks to a grant provided by the AEP Foundation.<\/p>\n

Is academic credit available to high school students?<\/strong>
\nUnfortunately, academic credit is not available at this time.<\/p>\n
