{"id":176,"date":"2016-08-16T13:31:06","date_gmt":"2016-08-16T18:31:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/cos\/?page_id=176"},"modified":"2022-11-28T16:17:36","modified_gmt":"2022-11-28T21:17:36","slug":"manage-cos-syllabi","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/cos\/faculty-staff\/manage-cos-syllabi\/","title":{"rendered":"Manage COS Syllabi"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This tool allows COS faculty and staff members to add syllabi to the department websites in the College of Science.<\/p>\n<p>Please submit syllabi in one of the following formats:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Adobe PDF<\/li>\n<li>HTML<\/li>\n<li>Microsoft Word<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To submit syllabi, please use the syllabus tool available at <a href=\"https:\/\/mubert.marshall.edu\/\">BERT \/ BRITE<\/a> under the &#8220;Faculty Information&#8221; section.<\/p>\n<p class=\"note\">*You will need to login to add a syllabus. To login, for your username type in marshall\\username (replace username with your Marshall University assigned username) and enter your Marshall University windows password in the password field. If a domain field is present leave it blank. If you are unable to login to add a COS syllabus, please contact <a href=\"mailto:brian.morgan@marshall.edu\">brian.morgan@marshall.edu.<\/a><\/p>\n<div class=\"columnRight\">\n<div class=\"columnRightInner\">\n<h2>Creating a PDF<\/h2>\n<p>To create an Adobe PDF file using the Print command:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Open the file that you want to convert to an Adobe PDF file in its authoring application, and choose File &#8211;&gt; Print<\/li>\n<li>Choose Adobe PDF from the list of printers<\/li>\n<li>From the Print dialog box, click OK<\/li>\n<li>Enter a filename and choose the location where the document will be saved then click SAVE (by default, your Adobe PDF file will be saved with the same filename and a .pdf extension in the same folder as the source file)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p class=\"note\">*A version of Adobe Acrobat Professional is required to convert a document to PDF format.
