There is no separate admissions process.<\/p>\n<p>The College of Science will accept inter-college and college transfers.<\/p>\n<p>Students with a minimum ACT mathematics score of 21 and a minimum ACT composite score of 21, or a minimum SAT math score of 530 and a minimum SAT composite score of 1060, are academically best prepared to start a major in the College of Science and graduate in four years. Student with lower scores will require additional preparatory coursework that may delay their graduation.<\/p>\n<p>On average, a full-time student in the College of Science will carry a 16-credit hour course load each semester. This way a student can stay on track to graduate within four years.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Degrees<\/strong><br \/>\nSee\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/cos\/degrees-requirements\/\">Degrees &amp; Requirements<\/a>\u00a0for degrees available through the College of Science.<\/p>\n<p>Students entering any baccalaureate degree program in the College of Science are responsible for meeting the requirements of the Core Curriculum. The <a href=\"https:\/\/catalog.marshall.edu\/undergraduate\/core-curriculum\/\">Core Curriculum<\/a> is Marshall\u2019s general education program and applies to all majors. The Core Curriculum is designed to provide essential skills for students\u2019 varied life paths after college in an ever-evolving world.<\/p>\n<p>Students are to consult with their academic\/program advisors or the chairperson of their major departments for guidance in determining the specific details of meeting the above referenced baccalaureate curricular initiatives.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Regular admission to the university constitutes admission to the College of Science for students entering as first-year students and as transfers from other institutions.
