Among the awarded honorees were two alumni of Marshall University College of Science, Dr. Lonnie G. Thompson and Dr. Ellen Mosley-Thompson. Dr. Lonnie G. Thompson was the National Award Recipient of the Distinguished Alumnus. Dr. Ellen Mosley-Thompson was the National Award Recipient of the Distinguished Alumna. Their dedication to science and education continues to inspire future generations.
