The College of Science had plenty to cheer about during Saturday\u2019s game against EKU\u2014starting with two incredible supporters who are helping open doors for our students.<\/p>\n
We were honored to welcome Mr. Ed McComas, who recently established the Camp McComas Scholarship. This new award will support West Virginia students pursuing degrees in Environmental Science or Natural Resources and Recreation Management\u2014helping the next generation of scientists protect and enjoy our state\u2019s natural treasures.<\/p>\n
We also celebrated Rena Beldon, who\u2014together with her brother Bill\u2014created the William & Francis Beldon Scholarship in honor of their parents. This scholarship supports mathematics majors in the College of Science and has already helped two students launch their careers: one now thriving in data analytics and another beginning graduate studies in math!<\/p>\n
