The event brought together middle and high school teams for a full day of fast-paced, hands-on STEM competition.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"381\" data-end=\"706\">Part of the national <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Science Olympiad<\/span><\/span> program, the tournament challenges students in a wide range of events spanning biology, chemistry, physics, engineering, and earth science. Participants work in teams to solve problems, build devices, and demonstrate their knowledge in both lab and testing settings.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"708\" data-end=\"971\">Congratulations to all students who earned medals during this year\u2019s competition. Morgantown High School Team 2 claimed the overall championship title, followed by Huntington High School Highlanders 1 in second place, and Parkersburg High School Team Red in third.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"973\" data-end=\"1217\">With their first-place finish, Morgantown High School Team 2 will advance to the national stage at the Science Olympiad National Tournament, hosted by the <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">University of Southern California<\/span><\/span> in Los Angeles, California, on May 22 and 23, 2026.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1219\" data-end=\"1565\">Science Olympiad continues to inspire the next generation of scientists, engineers, and innovators by combining teamwork, academic competition, and real-world problem solving.
