McCormack is the College of Science recipient of the College Award of Distinction, which honors alumni who exemplify professional excellence and commitment to the university.<\/p>\n<p>McCormack earned her Bachelor of Science degree in 1969 and has built a distinguished career in the chemical industry. She was a longtime employee at Bayer International, where she rose to the rank of worldwide vice president of strategic planning, and currently serves as a vice president at Lanxess Corporation.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to her professional accomplishments, McCormack has demonstrated a strong commitment to supporting future scientists at Marshall. She established the Lacy Stone Scholarship in honor of her high school chemistry teacher.
