Members of the Palmquist, Puppo, and Shakirov research labs spent the day observing and identifying spring wildflowers in one of the most botanically diverse areas of the region.<\/p>\n<p>Wildflower Weekend at Carter Caves brings together professional botanists, educators, and students for guided hikes and hands\u2011on field study focused on Appalachian plant diversity. For Biology students, the event provides valuable experience in plant identification, ecology, and phenology, while reinforcing classroom learning through direct observation in the field.
