Students explored a wide range of plant species while studying adaptations, structure, and diversity beyond the classroom.<\/p>\n<p>The visit was led by Conservatory Director and Marshall alumnus Joshua Hamrick, who guided students through the collection and shared insights into plant care and conservation. Students observed flowering orchids and hibiscus, sampled cacao seeds and citrus fruits, and examined a specialized ant plant to learn how some plants house ants that help defend them against herbivores.
