The competitive 10\u2011week program supports undergraduate research across STEM fields and provides funding to enhance student scholarship and innovation.<\/p>\n<p>SURE awards are determined through a competitive review process conducted by a committee of STEM experts. The program is managed by Dr. Rosalynn Qui\u00f1ones from the Department of Chemistry. Each student receives a $4,800 stipend to support full\u2011time research during the summer. Funding is provided by the West Virginia Challenge Fund through the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission\u2019s Division of Science, Technology, and Research.<\/p>\n<p>Selected students projects include Eli Adkins (Chemistry), Jos\u00e9 A. Bux\u00f3 (Chemistry), Carlie Call (Chemistry), Delaney Geary (Chemistry), Lizana Imran (Biomedical and Electrical Engineering), Cohen Jordan (Chemistry), Ryan Muktar (Chemistry), Madison Parsons (Biomedical Sciences), Ella Peterson (Biological Sciences), and Makayla Wallace (Chemistry).
