Thompson Family Science Scholarship, endowed by Dr. Lonnie Thompson, Dr. Ellen Thompson \u2014 Marshall University\u2019s 2025 Alumni of the Year \u2014 and Dr. Regina Thompson, will support students in the College of Science as they work toward their academic goals.<\/p>\n<p>The renewable scholarship provides up to $1,000 annually for as many as four years. It is open to full- or part-time West Virginia residents majoring in a science field who have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and demonstrated financial need. Preference will be given to first-generation students, particularly those from Braxton County.<\/p>\n<p>For its first five years, two students will be selected each year.
