Marshall University\u2019s Department of Physics recently welcomed students from the Health Sciences and Technology Academy (HSTA) for an interactive Science Demo Show featuring hands-on physics experiments and demonstrations.<\/p>\n
Hosted by Dr. Sean McBride and Dr. Sachiko McBride, the event gave students an opportunity to experience physics concepts in action. Demonstrations included walking on a non-Newtonian fluid, visualizing sound with fire, creating indoor thunder and lightning effects, launching rockets and exploring the science of smoke rings.<\/p>\n
The program was supported by REU student Aliyah Ferry and members of Marshall University\u2019s nationally recognized Society of Physics Students, who helped engage students throughout the event.<\/p>\n
