Marshall University\u2019s College of Science has received a $2 million National Science Foundation grant to establish the Physical and Quantitative Sciences (PQS) Scholars Program, which will provide scholarships and student-support services for majors in chemistry, geology, physics, data science, mathematics, and statistics.<\/p>\n
Beginning in fall 2027, the program will support three cohorts of 12 students through scholarships, mentoring, academic support, research opportunities, internships, and career preparation.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis award is a significant investment in the students and programs of Marshall\u2019s College of Science,\u201d said Wesley Stites, dean of the College of Science. \u201cIt reflects the strength of our faculty and their commitment to creating exceptional opportunities for the next generation of STEM leaders.\u201d<\/p>\n
