Adjunct faculty members are critical in higher education and deserve focused professional development. If you are an adjunct faculty member interested in learning more about effective teaching and learning practices, please consider joining us for our Adjunct Super Saturday Faculty Forum on Teaching and Learning<\/em><\/span>.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Super Saturday is a professional development opportunity for new and experienced adjunct faculty. Programming runs from 10:30am until 2:00pm and encompasses several components related to teaching at Marshall. Choose to attend any or all sessions.<\/p>\n

Spring 2023 Session Schedule<\/h2>\n

January 21, 2023<\/strong>\u00a0| 10:30 am – 2:00 pm | Virtual (live, remote via Teams)*<\/p>\n

Session 1:\u00a0 10:30 – 11:30 am<\/p>\n

Increasing Student Engagement – This session will focus on pedagogical strategies to engage students and highlight ways instructors can spark students\u2019 interest and help them persist within the course.<\/p>\n

Session 2:\u00a0 11:45 am – 12:45 pm<\/p>\n

UDL as a Blueprint for Success – This session will focus on how incorporating Universal Design for Learning (UDL) can increase accessibility and support student learning while decreasing faculty workload.<\/p>\n

Session 3:\u00a0 1:00 – 2:00 pm<\/p>\n

Assessing Student Learning – This session will focus on grading and other forms of assessing student learning. We will focus on strategies and tools available to make grading and assessment a more efficient and effective process.<\/p>\n
