Our signature initiatives include <strong>iPED<\/strong>: <strong>Inquiring Pedagogies<\/strong> (our an annual fall teaching conference, always the Tuesday before fall classes start), <strong>Pedagogy Matters<\/strong> (our hybrid workshop for online course design, methodology and best practice), and <strong>New Faculty Orientation<\/strong>\u00a0in both the fall and the spring, co-sponsored by Academic Affairs. We also offer faculty development programming to assist those teaching in the Core Curriculum (both the FYS Institute and CT Workshops).<\/p>\n<p>The Professional\u00a0Development Office also works to create spaces for faculty to gather&#8211;both face to face and virtually&#8211;to exchange ideas and develop new knowledge. The new Teaching Commons in the CTL office suite (Old Main 109) is designed to be a flexible and inspiring environment for faculty and is equipped with Polycom to accommodate faculty who work off the main campus in Huntington.
