Online Learning offers a variety of live and self-paced training, as well as campus events. Some of the events require participants to register, as indicated by the “Register for this session here” links. How to Access Our Sessions on Teams

All of our virtual events are offered through the Distance Education Support Community Team. Once you have accessed the Team, click on the Training & Recordings channel. Every virtual session we offer is listed on this channel and is accessible to all faculty and staff at Marshall.


Fall Back Into Updating Your Courses

Monday, November 7 at 1:00 – 1:30 for set a set agenda, then available work time 1:30 – 3:00 PM

Use your extra hour of “falling back” to Spring forward to get your courses ready for Spring term. Come kick off National Distance Learning Week with designers, who will be on-hand to share tips and tricks for efficiently updating your Development courses. Faculty should bring their own devices to this session and come prepared to be “out with the old” information and “in with the new.”

Assessing Student Learning Online

Building a Community of Belonging in Online

Working with Kevin Binning, Associate Professor from the University of Pittsburgh and leading expert in this research, Marshall Online is working to develop an asynchronous course activity to cultivate student’s sense of belonging.
