About the Instructor
Professor Amine Oudghiri-Otmani is originally from 1,200 year-old Imperial Fes, Morocco. He has lived in Huntington, WV since August 2006, going to graduate school and teaching. He started his term appointment with the Department of English in August 2013 and his 2-year term as a Faculty Senator in August 2014. He is also the Higher Education Representative for WVTESOL. As part of his service commitment, Professor Oudghiri-Otmani served with the Composition Committee and chaired the Faculty Mentoring & Support Committee for Academic Year 2013-2014. Prior to teaching with the Department of English, he taught for the English as a Second Language LEAP program at Marshall University for 4 years. In summer 2009, he served as the News Editor for the Parthenon, Marshall University’s student newspaper. Professor Oudghiri-Otmani enjoys playing tennis, reading, and driving for long distances.
