Professor of English specializing in literature and creative writing. He received his Ph.D. in Creative Writing at Ohio University and has taught at the University of Kentucky before coming to Marshall. His short fiction publications have appeared in Pleiades: A Journal of New Writing, Gulf Coast, The Connecticut Review, Aethlon: Journal of Sports Literature, and Five 2 One Magazine. One story was listed in “100 Other Distinguished Stories,” Best American Short Stories 2007 and another story received a Pushcart Prize nomination.
His novel, The Art of Death, is available as an-e-book through Midnight Frost Books (2016). He is currently drafting his second novel, while revising and writing additional short stories to compile into a collection.
