“I chose to study at Marshall University because I received the Yeager Scholarship and thought it was one of the best academic opportunities in the country,” said Chandler Milam, a native of Dunbar, West Virginia.
Obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in History and Bachelor of Business Administration in Management, Chandler chose to become a director of philanthropy at the Marshall University Foundation because of his passion for education. He believes it is of the upmost importance to find ways to use education as a medium for positive change in West Virginia.
Chandler develops relationships with alumni and friends in Charleston, West Virginia and the entire state of Texas. He says the best part is helping these individuals connect their passions with Marshall.
His hobbies include cooking, learning new things and spending time with friends.
“I would like to see our University serve as a beacon of hope and support for the region, ultimately being a leader in the solutions that lead to a better West Virginia.”
